Nevada was one of the first states to pass the Kratom Consumer Protection Acts, but now the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy is proposing to ignore the State Legislature and add kratom to the list of Schedule I controlled substances, which effectively bans kratom for all Nevada residents or visitors.

We have to stop this backdoor to state bans. If kratom is banned in Nevada by bypassing the legislature, it will provide a playbook for anti-kratom groups in the FDA and Big Pharma to do it across America.

The AKA legislative team is working hard to prepare for the state public hearing in Las Vegas on April 14th at 9am, and invites everyone who can to attend the hearing. Sign-up to attend our pre-hearing rally at 8am on the 14th using the link below and our webinar TONIGHT at 7pm Pacific (10 Eastern) in preparation for the hearing.

However although this is a Nevada issue right now, it would set a terribly dangerous precedent for how state bureaucrats could work to ban kratom, so we need everyone's support.

We need your support to protect kratom. Too few kratom consumers donate, and even fewer contribute monthly. Thank you to those who do, and if you haven't given, now is the time to donate and tell others!

YOUR DONATIONS MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO STOP BANS

Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported our collective work!

Rhode Island Hearing Update

The AKA legislative team presented today in Rhode Island, one of the remaining banned states.

The RI House Corporations Committee held the hearing on HB 7595, the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. Thank you to Rep. J Edwards, one of the cosponsors for the RI KCPA as he was instrumental in discussion during the hearing. No vote was taken but this was a very positive step forward.
